Kniphofia

One of the most drought-tolerant perennial flowers, loved by bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Deep green bushes of thin strap leaves produce many tall stems topped with torch-shaped flowers in early summer. The tubular flowers' colour range is  red, orange, and yellow. Loves full sun and thrives in poor soils. Requires little care once established. Start seeds in small pots, plant 1/4 inch deep, in spring.
