Requires plenty of moisture.

Sow in rows directly outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. Place one seed every 2 inches and cover with soil. When plants are 3 inches tall, thin to 6 inches apart. Use the tender thinnings in salads. Harvest before flower stalks form. Best growth occurs in spring and fall so be sure to do a second sowing in late summer for a fall crop.
