Spinacia oleracea

Large, tender semi-crinkled leaves have excellent flavour. Fast growing plants. 

Sow in average soil in early spring for first crop, again in late summer for fall crop. Sow thinly in rows 46 - 61 cm apart. Cover with 1 cm of fine soil; firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in 7 - 14 days. Thin to stand about 15 cm apart when seedlings are 2.5 - 5 cm high.
