Echinacea purpurea

Large, rosy-purple flowers surround an orange-brown central cone. Long-lasting blooms are ideal for middle of the garden and for cutting.

SOW outdoors in spring, or late summer at least 12 weeks before first frost. Sow seeds evenly and thinly and cover with 0.6 cm fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in 14 - 21 days. Blooms in summer to fall.
