Cauliflower Twister - Ontario Seed Company

Brassica oleracea var. botrytis

For a superior quality harvest, try Twister Hybrid Cauliflower seeds. This variety produces a very tight, heavy-headed, and dome-shaped cauliflower with bright white curds and exceptional internal wrapper leaves. With an average head size of 17-20 cm, Twister provides a uniform harvest and shows excellent adaptability to varied climates and growing conditions.

What you need to know to Plant & Grow

Cauliflower grows best in cooler conditions, but Twister shows good heat tolerance in early summer.

Planting: Seed can be sown directly in the garden in late spring. For an earlier start, we suggest starting seeds indoors 5 weeks before transplanting in late April/early May. Germination occurs in 10-14 days.

Care: Fertilize lightly and frequently, and never let the plants lack for water. When the heads begin to form, gather the outer leaves and tie them over the “curd” to prevent discolouration from sunlight. Harvest the head when it reaches 17-20 cm in diameter by cutting the entire head off using a sharp knife.

Approx. 15-20 seeds/pkt
