Lactuca sativa

A wonderful cut-and-come-again mix of our favourite lettuce varieties. Can be started indoors or direct sown, spring through summer. Our most popular seed packet.

Can be started in early spring and again in the fall. Sow seed thinly in flats or directly into the garden in moist rich roil. Barely cover with fine soil or compost and firm the surface. Keep bed evenly moist to ensure germination. Make successive plantings up to mid-June and again in August for fall crops. Gradually thing seedlings to 8 inches apart for looseleaf and 12 inches apart for heading lettuce.
