Rossa di Treviso Precoce Radicchio

This famous Italian loose-leaf variety has a mix of green, red and white leaves, with a growth habit very similar to a romaine lettuce. Very cold hardy, overwinters in our coastal climate which improves the taste. Good texture, does tend to get bitter in the heat. Easy to plant directly or start in flats seeded ¼ inch deep in the summer to early fall. Start indoors in early spring.
