Formula Mixed Chrysanthemum Seeds (Tricolor-Daisy)

An intriguing blend of bright colours on extra-large single blooms that include many pinks, yellow and purple bi-colours. Plants grow to 60 cm (2') in height. With its long, strong stems, this variety makes a superb cut-flower! Also a good plant for butterflies and bees.

How to Grow

Direct seed outdoors in mid to late May 3 mm (1/8") deep. Seed can be started indoors 6-8 weeks before planting out. Sow on the surface of a soil-less growing medium (peat-based is best) and keep the temperature between 16-21 C (60-70 F) for the 10-14 day germination period. Expose the seeds on the growing medium to light, cycling 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Grow on under lights at a slightly cooler temperature then harden off and plant out in late May spacing at 30 cm (12") apart in the garden. Pinch back plants when 10-15 cm (4-6") high to promote full flowering later in the season. Best in full sun but will still grow well in slightly shaded sites.
