Radish German Giant - McKenzie Seeds

Raphanus sativus

  • Firm, crisp and a mild peppery flavor.
  • Heirloom
  • 29 days to Harvest
  • 4 to 7 days to germination
  • Enjoy as a snack or add slices into salads.

These amazing radishes can actually grow to the size of baseballs! Despite their size they do not get woody or spongy but instead these scarlet-red skinned globes produce a crisp white flesh that will be thoroughly enjoyed. Cool weather crop.

4g. (Approx. 250-275 seeds)

INSTRUCTIONS

Make several plantings, 10 days apart until the weather becomes warm. May be sown again when weather cools for a fall crop. Plant in moist, well drained soil, as soon as ground can be worked and danger of frost has passed.

Planting Depth: 1.3 cm (1/2")

Seed Spacing: 1.3 cm (1/2")

Planting Spacing: 5 cm (2")

Row Spacing: 30 cm (12")

SUGGESTIONS

For space conservation, radishes can be planted in the same rows as onions and parsnips since the radishes will be done long before the other mature.
