Corn Bodacious - McKenzie Seeds

Zea mays

  • Hybrid
  • Vegetable
  • Sweet that holds its flavor well after harvest
  • Perfect for eating right off the cob or freezing.
  • 75 days to harvest
  • 7 to 14 days to germination

Very sweet and tender yellow cobs, 20 cm (8") in length. Absolutely delicious. Eat right away or freeze for later. Contains diatomaceous earth.

10g (approx. 55-60 seeds)

INSTRUCTIONS

Sow seed directly in soil once all danger of frost has passed. Separate from other varieties by 7.5 m (25'') to avoid cross pollination and to maintain its unique characteristics. Planting in a block instead of a long single row will help in pollination.

Planting Depth: 5 cm (2")

Seed Spacing: 10 cm (4")

Plantling Spacing: 30 cm (12")

Row Spacing: 60 cm (24")

SUGGESTIONS

Corn is ready to harvest approximately 20 days after silk first appears on cobs. The silk turns brown and the husk will be green. Remove cobs from stalks just before eating. Remove husks and silk from corn ears. Mineral oil on the silk deters bugs.
