Miscanthus sinensis – Silberfeder 

This majestic cultivar (also known as Siberfeder or “Silver Feather”) forms a tall, clumping fountain of arching deep-green blades streaked with distinct silvery-white midribs. In late summer, it produces airy coral‑pink flower panicles that mature to shimmering silvery-white seed plumes, soaring gracefully up to 7 ft above the foliage. As autumn approaches, the leaves take on warm wheat or golden tones, pairing beautifully with the striking plumes for excellent winter interest. A robust and hardy perennial (Zones 4–9), it tolerates drought, salt, and poor soils once established and is deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant—making it ideal for specimen displays, privacy screens, or dramatic mass plantings.
