Tagetes patula

This plant produces pretty small orange and red edible blooms well into the fall. The petals are lightly spicy. A wonderful companion plant, repelling animals, insects and nematodes. Blooms can also make an insecticide spray by boiling 1 cup of flowers in 2 L of water.
