Cucumis sativus

  • Vitamin A and C
  • Excellent Flavour
  • Bitter Free
  • Great Slicing Variety

Burpless Hybrid Cucumber (Slicing Type). Crisp, tasty, not bitter and truly burpless – need you look further for a better slicing cucumber! These cucumbers may be eaten without peeling, just like celery. Peak flavour and vitamin content is reached when 20-25cm (8-10in) long.

Approx. 15 seeds

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow indoors in April. Place each seed on its side, 2cm (¾”) deep, in 7.5cm (3”) pots of seed compost at a temperature of approx. 21°C (70°F). Harden off and plant out in late May to early June, 90cm (3’) apart. Retain both male and female flowers. Alternatively, sow outdoors, two seeds per final position, 2cm (¾”) deep, in May-June. When the plants have the first true leaves, thin to one plant per position. Protect young plants with cloches in cold weather. Harvest: August-October.

Save garden space by planting lettuce between the cucumber plants.
