This is a butterhead type of lettuce producing a moderately tight head. Prized for its taste and texture. The inner leaves blanch to a light yellow with a smooth texture and mild flavor. The crispy outer leaves are loosely folded and dark green, often tinged with brown. Flavor is best if timed to mature during cool weather. Sow again in later summer and fall.
