Iris Germanica - Almaden

A sophisticated tall-bearded iris boasting richly hued, ruffled burgundy-red blooms contrasted with deep red-maroon beards and a delicate splash of yellow in the throat. The petals may glint with a subtle metallic sheen in full sun. Upright green foliage and sturdy stalks reach up to about 90 cm (36″), offering vertical interest before and after blooms. Lightly fragrant and deer‑resistant, it thrives in well-drained soil and full sun to part shade.
