The foliage is dark green with a narrow golden-yellow margin, and the underside of the folded leaves is glossy—revealing a beautiful contrast. In late summer the plant produces slender scapes of lavender‑violet, bell‑shaped flowers that rise above the foliage. Its unique form and textural interest make it an eye‑catching specimen in shade borders or containers. Voted 2011 American Hosta Growers Association’s Hosta of the Year.
