The Detroit 2 Beetroot produces round bright red beets, with dark red stems trailing up to their green leaves. When grown outside they are typically planted between the months of April and July. You can expect harvesting to be ready at the beginning of the summer, to the end of autumn.

Growing From Seed

Sow in early spring, as soil is workable, into warm, well drained
soil. Sow 13mm (½”) deep, 2.5cm (1”) apart.
Germination: 10 - 14 days. When plants are 5-7.5cm (2-3”)
tall, thin them to 10-15cm (4-6”) apart. Beet greens are ready
to harvest in approximately 35 to 45 days. Water thoroughly,
once a week. May require feeding every 3 weeks.
