What you need to know to Plant & Grow Blue Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is loved for its unique colour and scent, providing an excellent addition to fresh or dried arrangements.
Site Selection: Choose a site with full sun, or plant in a container to allow for over-wintering indoors.
Sowing Indoors: Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before expected last frost, 3 mm deep using a soil-less mix in separate peat pots. Seed will germinate in 10-14 days at a temperature of 21°C. Keep the growing medium moist during the germination period. Grow on under lights at a cooler temperature of 16°C, then harden off and transplant outside to the garden or containers after the danger of frost has passed.
Upkeep: Eucalyptus can be brought indoors in early fall and grown on as a houseplant through the winter, then put back outside the following year with the return of warm weather.
