This very rare Bulgarian heirloom performs well in northern gardens. Sturdy plants are very productive. The fruit is 4-5 inches long and 2 inches wide. The colour starts out green then turns a beautiful and shiny chocolate brown. The texture is crisp, maintaining a fresh taste for weeks on the plant and stores well once picked. The taste is full bodied and chocolate sweet. Thrives in containers. Ready in 75 days.
