Cucurbita Moschata 

This extremely rare winter squash is famous for its keeping qualities, lasting 6 months or more. Tom and Barbara White brought this cultivar forward and it has been maintained locally by Marian Hargrove, Master Gardener. We were delighted to work with her last year to produce enough seed to share. A profuse grower and producer, ready in 80 days.

The skins are creamy coloured, the necks are long and the base is much wider. The flesh is a deep golden orange colour with a smooth texture and rich taste when baked. Fruit size varies and they can get quite large. Provide lots of compost and deep watering.
