Gardener's Notes: Melons need warm weather to grow. Sow in late spring after night temperatures reach 13C (55F). Thin seedlings to strongest 3 plants. Fertilize monthly. Pick melons when nearest tendril is brown, rind is dull and underside turns yellow.
