Gardener's Notes: A cool season crop. Plant seed in early spring, in light, fertile, well-drained soil as soon as it can be worked. Sow 2-3 seeds every inch. After germination, thin seedlings to 1-2 inches apart. Radishes grow quickly and need moisture while forming. Harvest when rounded tops appear. Sow every 7-10 days until early summer heat comes on for a continuous supply. For late crop, sow again at the end of summer or in early fall weather.
