Gardener's Notes: Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost or sow directly outdoors in spring after last frost when temperatures are above 50F (10C). Grow in average, well-drained soil, spacing seeds 4-6 inches apart. Thin seedlings to recommended spacing. In hot climates, plant in light shade. Keep soil moist especially during dry periods. In frost-free climates plant outdoors in fall for winter and spring bloom.
