Gardener's Notes: Start seeds indoors in pots or trays 8-12 weeks before planting outdoors. Darkness improves germination, cover container until seedlings appear. Transplant outdoors in spring after last frost in moist, fertile soil. Seed may be planted directly in the garden in early spring. To harvest, snip leaves with scissors about 1/2 inch above the soil. Divide and replant established plants every 3 years. Zones 3-8.
