Gardener's Notes: Grows best in cool weather. Sow outdoors in early spring as soon as frost danger is over and again in later summer for fall crop. Scatter seeds evenly over fine-textured soil bed. Cover lightly. Keep evenly moist. Harvest young leaves at just 4-6 inches tall, cutting as much as needed with scissors, but leave 1 inch plant crowns to re-grow for another harvest. Water evenly and fertilize lightly for 2nd crop.
