Clematis rehderiana

Clematis rehderiana is a highly scented species from western China, notable for its 1-2 inch (2-4 cm) nodding flowers that open yellow and turn parchment-colored. The flowers hang in clusters, creating a showy display. This vigorous climber can cover a small tree with 10-20 feet (3-6 meters) of growth. If pruned to about 2 feet (60 cm) from the ground each spring, it will produce an excellent display on an 8-10 foot (2.5-3 meter) plant. It belongs to pruning groups A or C.
