Cantaloupe Passport Hybrid - Ontario Seed Company

Cucumis melo var. cantalupensis

A truly remarkable early ‘Honeydew’ type melon, Passport Hybrid Cantaloupe offers a fantastic aroma and flavour that sets it apart. The vigorous, productive vines have excellent disease resistance and yield large fruits averaging 15 cm in diameter and 2.5 kg. This is a high-performing and rewarding choice for a truly delicious harvest.

What you need to know to Plant & Grow

For best results, select a south-facing, wind-sheltered site for your melons.

Planting: Sow 5 seeds 2.5 cm deep per hill. Space hills 1.5-2 m apart. Once seedlings are established, thin to 3 to 4 plants per hill. In short-season areas, start seeds indoors in peat or paper pots 4 weeks before your planned transplant date. Seeds need a warm soil to germinate properly; do not sow into soil cooler than 21°C. Germination occurs in 8-14 days.

Care: A packet of hybrid melon contains 10 seeds, enough for 2 hills. Keep the melon vines evenly watered throughout the growing season.

Approx. 10 seeds/pkt
