Camassia Quamash, or Camas, is an easy perennial that makes a visual impact in any garden! This "Blue Melody" variety sports star-shaped, blue flowers with green centers and reaches 30 inches in height. These plants add appeal to beds, borders, and cut-flower arrangements alike. Plant bulbs from September-December for blooms throughout late spring and early summer. Bulbs should be placed 4-6 inches deep and 6 inches apart in moist, well-draining soil. Camassias can be grown in zone 4 with full to partial sun, but they will thrive best in areas with full sun. These flowers are great on their own or they can be planted in clusters for a stunning larger display. Camassias are also deer-resistant and non-toxic, making them relatively low fuss!
