Calendula

Few annuals are easier to grow or produce more abundantly than these Mediterranean natives. Large flowers that resemble both daisies and chrysanthemums bloom on strong, tall stems above large, dark green foliage. Featured colors are yellow and orange, but mix includes cream and apricot. Keep plants moist. In mild areas, sow seeds in August through September for blooms at Christmas.
