Gold Rush produces early yellow wax beans that are 12-15cm (5-6”) long. They are slender straight yellow pods that hang in clusters on strong compact dark green bushy plants. Average plant height 42-54cm (18-21") with a spread that is 38-51cm (15-18”) wide. A popular main crop bean for a good reason. They are easy to grow, easy to harvest, and easy to see among the green foliage.  Very good flavour and texture.  Good storage, and fine freezing potential. These beans are tender and stringless. Displays a good resistance to bean mosaic virus. Use fresh, frozen or for canning.

Sow in average soil in full sun after danger of frost, spring to early summer. In rows 46-76cm (18-30") apart, sow seeds about 8cm (3") apart and cover with 2.5cm (1") of fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days.

Can also be used in container gardening.
