Broccoli Early Purple International - Aimers Seeds

Brassica oleracea var. italica

Variety originated in UK

A classic gourmet delight from the UK, Early Purple Sprouting Broccoli offers an exquisite harvest of many small, beautiful purple florets rather than a single large head. A true testament to patience, this unique variety provides a long and rewarding harvest of delicious young leaves, shoots, and florets that are perfect raw or sautéed.

What you need to know to Plant & Grow:

This winter sprouting broccoli requires a cool period to initiate floret development. For best results, it is best grown in hardiness zone 6 and up.

Planting: Start seed indoors in a sterile growing medium in mid-spring. Transplant to a sunny spot from late May through early July, spacing plants 45 cm apart in rows 60 cm apart. Plant seeds 6 mm deep and 7.5 cm apart before thinning.

Care: Ensure the soil is kept evenly watered. For floret development, the plants need about 6 weeks of temperatures around 10°C. Once the central floret forms, harvest it immediately to promote the development of numerous side shoots, which will extend your harvest.

Approx. 125 seeds/pkt
